Apart from my professional activities, I most enjoy spending time with my wife, Melissa, and our three children: Caden, Asher, and Zoey. I love to travel, and I’ve had the opportunity to visit many interesting places, both in the U.S. and abroad. In the past decade, I have visited London (for fun), Kenya (for work with a children’s rescue mission), China (to visit friends), Guinea-Bissau (to adopt my daughter, Zoey), and Tanzania (for the GVSU Mathematics Department’s annual study abroad trip).
I also enjoy cooking, reading, music, roller coasters, and photography. Some of the pictures I’ve taken can be found on my flickr page.
